For this wedding, we leaned into a natural, yet refined aesthetic, using wildflower-inspired elements to evoke a sense of rustic charm. The florals were designed to feel organic and fresh, with a mix of soft, pastel blooms that added a whimsical touch to the estate’s timeless setting. Throughout the reception and head table, we styled a thoughtful mix of our stone compotes and woven rattan compotes, layered with semi-pink glass bud vases, white wood taper holders, pleated glass votives, and woven rattan lanterns to create a rich tapestry of texture and light. The couple envisioned a celebration that honored the richness of late summer transitioning into fall, and we brought that vision to life through a palette inspired by a glowing autumn sunset. One of our favorite recent transformations took place at The Hidden Oaks in Richmond, VA - a venue that perfectly blends modern architecture with natural Virginia charm. For this celebration, the couple selected a sleek, vintage-inspired black arch backdrop from local rental company Paisley & Jade to anchor their head table. We designed a sculptural, airy runner of baby’s breath and crisp white roses, cascading luxuriously over both ends of the table like soft clouds. Sleek, modern place settings from Rent-E-Quip, along with our black taper holders, tied beautifully into the black backdrop elements and created a striking contrast against the all-white florals. Above it all, a custom neon sign from Lighting & Sound Co. added a warm, personal glow. To complete the design, we repurposed the deconstructed ceremony arch towers to frame the couple at the reception - bringing a sense of continuity and thoughtful intention. Another unforgettable transformation unfolded at Avonlea Farms in Louisa, VA, a venue known for its rolling hills and the breathtaking centerpiece of its ceremony site: a 250-year-old grand oak, lovingly known as The Wedding Tree. This ancient tree, with its vast living canopy, served as both inspiration and anchor for our floral design. The couple envisioned something bold and a bit unexpected, so we brought in funky, modern floral selections and crafted draping marigold garlands that spilled from the branches like golden ribbons. Using a detailed mockup, we helped the couple visualize how the vibrant garlands would echo the tree’s natural shape - turning an already-emotional setting into something truly transportive. The ceremony space was styled with 18 polished wooden church pews, creating a grounded, classic contrast to the playful florals.
